I view companies through the lens of category design and look for opportunities where we can bend the market in our favor. No one wants to be a me-too brand fighting for the scraps of an industry giant. When we compare ourselves as being better, faster, smaller, etc., the best we can achieve is incremental-better. What we really want is EXPONENTIAL DIFFERENCE and to achieve that, we must claim and reframe a new space to define the terms in our favor and emerge a market leader.
